Perchstone & Graeys is a Lagos based commercial practice, situated in the heart of the Lagos commercial district, with a reputation for offering quality service in a thoroughly professional and confidential environment. Established ten years ago this March, we bring to the practise of law in Nigeria, an aggregation of invaluable local and international experiences. Our members are utterly committed to the practise of law in Nigeria and the development of this firm. In pursuit of this commitment, we took the decision four years ago to divert our resources to the construction of an office building. We are pleased to state that we moved into our purpose built office in the second quarter of 2006.

Perchstone & Graeys is a broad based commercial practise, with a particular reputation for oil and gas and natural resource work. The firm is in a strong working alliance with Herbert Smith, a major London based firm of Solicitors, by virtue of which we have worked with an extensive array of foreign companies from Europe, North America and Asia on natural resource, tax and finance matters.

Perchstone & Graeys has grown through the years to become one of the largest commercial practises in Nigeria today. As well as our three partners and one associate partner, the firm comprises four senior associates, four intermediate seniors, nine in-house associates and six out-of-station associates (Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Benin). Two eminent practise consultants and an excellent team of support personnel all compliment our strength.

We are listed by the United Kingdom Department of Trade and Industry as one of three law firms to consult in Nigeria for Oil & Gas work and our member is listed in The International Who’s Who of Oil & Gas Lawyers. Meanwhile, through our strong links with commercial sections of a number of diplomatic missions in Lagos, we provide advisory services to visiting trade delegations and would-be investors on energy and investment specific laws and practises.

Perchstone & Graeys has a diverse client base, predominantly of British and American origin; and represent a growing list of Asian petroleum companies, notably, the biggest entrants from China and India, CNOOC and ONGC.
