Perchstone and Graeys has assisted its clients restructure their employee portfolios and human capital management structures, to better suit each client’s professional requirements, bearing in mind national statutes and international best practices to progressively avert legal loopholes. Overtime, we have provided employment/labour legal advisory services, human capital management and employment audits. We also represent client’s interests in various courts of law, including the National Industrial Court and in trade union matters.

As part of our constant contribution to the development of Nigerian employment law and the evolving labour jurisprudence, we recently organized a roundtable on labour law and emerging trends, aimed at reviewing sector developments and to position participants to understand the philosophy underpinning the court’s leaning; striking a balance between commercially expedient outcomes and corporate polices on the one hand, and the preions of law on the other. Our maiden edition held in April 2017 and was attended by over 150 stakeholders, including justices of the National Industrial Court (NIC) and representatives of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Nigeria Employers' Consultative Assoc’iation (NECA), amongst other key private sector players.

Our expertise in the practice area is also internationally recognised, as the firm contributes (as the sole Nigerian contributor) to publications such as The Employment Review (a global review of labour/employment laws) and in corroboration with a specialized labour/employment international law firm (Squire Patton Boggs) on the Global Edge Report.
