Perchstone & Graeys in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) recently hosted the first ever India-Africa Business Series themed: Securing Energy For Emerging Markets – The Africa-Asia Experience.

The event which took place in New Delhi, India, on June 7, 2013, was attended by leading Nigerian and Indian business organizations as they discussed the challenges and opportunities in the energy sector in both jurisdictions.
 Notwithstanding that it was the first of its kind, the India-Africa Business Series drew the participation of leading resource persons including Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, Hon. Minister of National Planning; Ambassador Gbenga Ashiru, Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Barth Nnaji, former Minister of Power; Mrs. Dere Awosika, former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power; Dr. David Ige of the NNPC; and Mr. Austin Avuru of SEPLAT Petroleum. Also in attendance were Mr. Shardoul Shroff, Managing Partner, Armachand & Mangaldas; Mr. Talmiz Ahmad, Energy Consultant; Mr. Ajay Kumar of ONGC Videsh; Mr. Surabh Basin of Trilegal and Mr. Narendra Taneja, President World Energy Policy Summit.
